How to style a bomber jacket: 5 outfits that always work.
The bomber is the easiest jacket in menswear to get right — and the hardest to get wrong. Here are five outfits built around the Summit Classic Bomber, from everyday uniform to night out.
1. The uniform: jeans, white tee, sneakers
This is the bomber's home turf. Dark or medium-wash straight-leg jeans, a plain white crew-neck tee, and clean minimal sneakers. The black Classic Bomber — ribbed collar, cuffs and hem, full-front zip — does all the talking, so keep everything underneath simple. It's the outfit equivalent of a firm handshake: works for coffee, errands, casual dinners, and just about everything that doesn't require a tie.
2. Hoodie layering for fall
When the temperature drops, the bomber earns its keep. Layer a gray or charcoal hoodie underneath and let the hood sit over the bomber's ribbed collar. The Classic Bomber's relaxed cut is built for exactly this — roomy enough for a hoodie without pulling at the zip. Check the fit guide if you're between sizes and plan to layer often. Finish with dark jeans and boots or high-tops.
3. Smart-casual: chinos, button-down, boots
Yes, a bomber can go smart. The trick is contrast: pair the jacket's sporty silhouette with sharper pieces underneath. Olive or navy chinos, a crisp white or light-blue button-down (sleeves rolled once), and leather boots. Zip the bomber halfway instead of fully — it reads intentional rather than thrown-on. This is the Friday-dinner, date-night-adjacent outfit that looks like you tried without looking like you tried.
4. All-black night out
Black jeans, black tee or henley, black boots, black bomber. The all-black outfit only works when textures do the differentiating — and that's where a vegan leather bomber shines: the smooth sheen of the jacket against matte denim and knit keeps it from looking flat. Keep the fit close through the body (the bomber's ribbed hem helps here) so the silhouette stays sharp instead of slouchy.
5. Fall layering: flannel overshirt underneath
For the coldest days the bomber still handles, wear it open over a flannel overshirt or shirt-jacket, with a thermal or waffle-knit tee beneath. Stick to an earthy palette — rust, forest, charcoal, brown boots — and the whole thing reads straight out of a Western workwear catalog. The bomber's utility sleeve pocket adds to the rugged feel. Top it off with a beanie when the wind picks up.
A note on the jacket itself
Every outfit above assumes a bomber that holds its shape: ribbed collar that stands up, cuffs that don't bag out, a zip that runs smooth. Ours is cut from 100% vegan PU leather — no animals involved, no break-in period, and it looks the part from day one. Read why we went vegan if you're curious about the material.
